Side and rear extension
The project.
Planning rules set a strict height limit on this single-storey rear and side extension, so to keep full head height inside we excavated the ground a metre down and tanked the new external walls with waterproof membrane.
The result is an open-plan kitchen, diner and lounge behind 8 metres of bi-fold doors, under a zinc roof. The whole job completed on time in 15 weeks.
